Although it is a requirement that Capreit must provide 24 hour notice, sometimes this is not done, as we all have experienced, this is due in large part to the availability of the hired contractor. Most often the slotted time & date changes last minute and it impacts the deliverable to complete the work order. To expedite these work orders, the 24 hour notice then becomes a barrier to further complete the outstanding item, therefore Capreit on a best efforts basis works to finish the repair or maintenance issue for the tenant and sometimes the 24 hour notice is not provided. Therefore it is highly recommended to ensure your right to the 24 hour notice, to please mark this on your work order, if NOT, then expect without notice for entry to your unit. Pat Miller is working to getting this improved and is reviewing the process.
All work orders are prioritized, please keep a copy for your records and document any on going issue that is not resolved satisfactorily. - After 6:00 p.m. emergency calls only, all other queries are deferred during business hours
- Emergencies are fire, floods or life threatening situations - if line is busy, please leave a message and it will be returned asap
- Visitor parking passes are not issued after 7:00 p.m.
- Locked out and it is after business hours? - Capreit Management Staff will NOT provide entry to the building or to your apartment in the event you have lost or misplaced your keys, you will need to call a locksmith or have a back up contingency in place
Requests for Maintenance Service (Work Orders) -> Work Orders can be submitted in 3 ways for your convenience:
- Hand delivery - to regional office located at building # 8 - buzz code #1 and deliver the work order to the office staff present during business hours or slide under the glass door after hours
- Email - scan your work order and email to Pat Miller, p.miller@capreit.net
- Fax - fax your work order direct to 416-285-6154
